Ingredients for Making Open Fruit Pie

Making an open fruit cake:

Step 1: prepare the dough for the cake.

First of all, we sift the flour through a sieve into any convenient bowl and add sugar and salt to it. Mix them thoroughly with a tablespoon and pour into a blender bowl. Then we take the butter out of the refrigerator, cut it into cubes about 1 centimeter in size with a sharp knife and transfer them to a flour blender. After that, at medium speed, mix the butter and flour until crumbs are formed. Next, wash the egg under running water and add to the blender bowl. Mix again and pour the dough onto a flat, clean surface.

Knead the dough with your hands in a tight bowl and, if necessary, add a little cold water.

Then we wrap it in cling film and use a rolling pin to roll it into a round-shaped layer. It should be slightly larger than your baking capacity.

Expanding the cling film, gently transfer the test layer to the mold. Taking hands, we make a cake with sides, and remove the rest of the dough with a rolling pin or cut it with a knife. We remove the form with the cake in the refrigerator on 30 minutes.

Step 2: bake the cake.

After the necessary time has passed, we take the cake out of the refrigerator, cover it with foil and cover it with peas or beans, this must be done so that the dough does not swell during baking. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius and set our batter with a load to bake on 15 - 20 minutes. Then we take out the form from the oven, remove the foil with the load and bake the cake again 10 - 15 minutesso that he is finally prepared and reddened. We take out the finished base for our fruit cake from the oven and leave to cool at room temperature.

Step 3: prepare the filling.

Pour the necessary amount of sugar, flour, corn starch into the pan and thoroughly mix everything with a whisk until smooth. Then we wash the eggs under running water, gently break so that you can separate the yolk from the protein. We use proteins for preparing any other tasty dishes, and pour the yolks into a dry mixture.

Immediately after this, pour milk into the pan, while stirring the contents with a whisk.

Next, we put the pan with the liquid mass on the stove, which is turned on to the middle level, and constantly mix so as not to burn.

Cook the cream until it thickens. As soon as the cream becomes the desired consistency, we set the pan from the stove to cool to room temperature, and then to the refrigerator.

Step 4: prepare the fruit.

We lay the berries in a colander, rinse under running water, pour them on a kitchen towel and peel off the green tails. We remove the peel from the kiwi and put it on a cutting board, cut it into beautiful even circles with a sharp knife, which we put in a separate plate.

Strawberries are also nicely cut lengthwise into 4 or more pieces.

Step 5: make a cake.

So, it's time to shape our pie. Put the cooled custard into the base for the pie and level it with a tablespoon. We decorate the cake with berries and chopped kiwi with strawberries, as your soul wants and can be served.

Step 6: serve open fruit cake.

An open fruit pie is served immediately after preparation, it can be cut into portioned slices in advance and laid out on dessert plates. As a drink, hot aromatic tea or cold all-squeezed juice is suitable. And so that the fruits retain their attractive appearance longer, they can be coated with sugar glaze or honey.
