And now we add the sifted ingredients and milk at room temperature to the egg-oil mixture one by one. You can use a spoon and a cup. In the process, constantly beat our components with an improvised tool so that subsequently there are no lumps. The dough should turn out by consistency, like thick sour cream.

Step 3: the third stage of cooking cakes.

Lubricate the two baking dishes with the remaining oil. For so many ingredients, it’s better to use shape, diameter 26 centimeters. Meanwhile, preheat the oven up to 180 ° C. We spread the test mixture with a spoon in these forms, so that they "by eye" turn out to be the same in weight and then with a spoon we level their surface. Bake for 30 minutes. Attention: from time to time we check our cakes with a toothpick to check their readiness. If there is still raw dough on a wooden stick, then you need to hold the cakes in the oven for some more time. But, in general, the allotted time for baking should be enough. It just happens, it all depends on the oven itself and on the quality of the flour. After the cakes have already been prepared, we cover the forms with chopping boards and turn the containers one by one so that the cakes can cool.

Step 4: prepare the cream.

While our cake base is cooling, prepare a cream. To do this, spread the cream at room temperature in a deep bowl with a spoon. I prefer natural homemade fat cream. Due to their consistency, the cream is very tasty and thick. In parallel, in a deep plate, dissolve gelatin with milk, also at room temperature. To do this, simply mix them with a teaspoon until the first component is completely dissolved. Milk should turn creamy. After that, we introduce the milk-gelatin mixture into the cream, constantly stirring with a spoon or a hand whisk. After - add vanilla on the tip of the knife and icing sugar. Well again, mix everything until smooth. Attention: Do not overdo it with vanilla, as the cream may be bitter. Do not forget about decorating the cake - With a spoon, put a little less than half the cream into another deep plate.

Step 5: Prepare the Strawberry Basket Cake.

Cakes have cooled down and you can work with them. We cut each cake lengthwise into two pieces on a cutting board with a knife. And now we put the first part of the cake on the dish for the cake. Grease it 1/3 of the jam, aligning it along the edges of the cake with a spoon. Then spread the cream on top of the jam with a spoon. The layer should not be very thick, but at the same time so that it subsequently saturates the top cake layer. We repeat the same procedure with the following two cakes. And the last fourth cake is simply well lubricated with butter cream, leveling with a spoon the edges and the surface of our future cake.

Step 6: prepare the strawberries.

We spread the strawberries in a colander and rinse it well under running warm water. After we leave it in order to make glass of water from it. If you have berries with tails, you can leave them. Then the composition will be perfect for the name of the cake - "Strawberry Basket"!

Step 7: decorate the Strawberry Basket cake.

And now the fun begins! It would seem that the cake is ready. But it was not there. It's time to use the pastry tools. If you have a confectionery syringe, then we collect cream into it and put on the “Weave” nozzle. Carefully trim the sides of the cake with this tool so that we get an edible basket. Then we change the nozzle to the "Star" and process in a circle the edges of the upper baking cake. And in the middle of the cake we beautifully spread fresh strawberries.

- - If there are no special confectionery tools at hand, do not be discouraged! You can use other materials at hand! For example, a plastic bag. So, fill the bag with cream using a spoon. After we tie it to a knot and cut off the corner of the bag with scissors to make a small hole. Only before this is done, well with a spoon, coat the sides of the cake with cream, trying to make the walls even. And we decorate the top of the baking, as we like, using our plastic syringe. In the middle, we also beautifully spread strawberries, as described in the recipe. And then melt the black or milk chocolate in a small Turk. We fill them with a regular syringe and make small grids on baking paper. When they cool, they can be attached to the sides of the cake. We will get the same beautiful basket, just a little different!

- - Strawberry jam for the cake can be replaced with apricot and even peach. The taste of our pastries will not deteriorate from this. And if you decide to make a cake in the midst of the strawberry season, then it's time to make strawberry jam and soak our dish with it.

- - Fresh strawberries can be replaced with frozen. To do this, you need to get it out of the refrigerator and leave the berries in a warm place. After that, they can decorate our cake.
